[Class 75 (iii)] An electric battery cycle or like lamp 3, adapted to provide a white front light and a red rear light, is pivoted by means of a yoke 6 on a spindle 9 carried by a bracket 4 clamped to a fork 5 &c., and is held on the operative position transverse to the frame by means of a pin 12 on the spindle engaging a slot 13 of smaller width in the arm 8 of the voke under the action of a spring 14. The lamp can be swung through 90‹ in one direction into an inoperative position alongside the frame in which the pin 12 engages a second similar slot 16 or through 90‹ in the opposite direction to bring the pin 12 into register with a wider slot 17 and permit removal of the lamp from the bracket. The pressbutton switch 19 is controlled by the spindle 9 which is provided with a recess 45 to allow the switch to open in the inoperative position of the lamp. In a modification, the slots 13, 16, 17 are all of greater width than the pin 12 and a plate having a single slot in register with the slot 17 is fixed under the arm 8. In a further modification, the arm 8 is provided with a star-shaped opening 22, Fig. 5, and the lower plate 24 with a square opening 23, Fig. 6, the spindle 9 having a square portion immediately above the arm 8 so as to provide operative and inoperative positions at right angles to one another and two positions at 45‹ thereto in which the lamp can be withdrawn.
