437,958. Tents. BURNS, R., 2, Roselands Avenue, Sale, Cheshire. May 8, 1934, No. 13843. [Class 20 (i)] A tent of the kind having an inclined roof which extends beyond the vertical wall to form an eave is provided with gusset-pieces 5 between the wall 2 and the roof overhang 4 to strengthen the tent at the parts where the pull of the stay ropes is exerted. Two gussetpieces may be provided, one at each end, and they may be separate from or integral with the ends 3. Intermediate gusset-pieces may also be used. A reinforcing tape 6 is used along the lower edge of the roof-piece and the free edges of the gusset-pieces. The invention is applicable also to bell-tents.
