Abstract

437,230. Belt fastenings. KREMER, E. H., R.D. 13, Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A. Nov. 29, 1934, No. 34325. Convention date, Jan. 17. [Class 80 (i)] In a belt fastener of the type comprising clamps 7 having relatively - rocking ribbed and grooved pintle members 13, 14, the rib 17 on the member 13 is greater in height than the depth of the groove 23 in the member 14. As shown in Fig. 9, the rib 17 has lateral extensions 18 which engage the flanged heads 20 on the member 14. The body 15 of the member 13 is restrained between the flanged heads 20, but the heads are cut away at 24 to permit movement of the end extensions 18 of the rib 17. The heads 20 also locate the pintle members against sidewise displacement in the clamps 7. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 the heads 20 may restrict the rocking of the end portions 18 of the member 13. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
