Abstract

<PICT:0437211/III/1> A device for sampling liquids containing suspended solids comprises a circular vessel U of cross-section which diminishes downwards, a tangential inlet pipe A, an exit pipe E at the bottom of the vessel and preferably a second exit D extending downwardly from the surface of the liquid. The vessel is covered by a casing M in the bottom of which apertures H are provided for the insertion into the liquid of testing instruments such as a thermometer K, a calomel cell branch N, and an electrode bulb J.
