Abstract
434,671. Disinfecting air. BERLOWITZ, M., 105, Kurf³rstenstrasse, Berlin. March 6, 1934, No. 7175. Convention date, March 16, 1933. [Class 81 (i)] [See also Group XII] For cleansing and moistening air, a motordriven centrifugal pump, e.g. a hollow inverted core d dips into a liquid and delivers it over its top edge on to a perforated container h packed with filling bodies g through which air is forced by a fan b co-axial with the motor c. Ozone may be added to the air, and oxygencontaining compounds, iron chloride or ice may be added to the liquid. Heating or cooling coils k may be incorporated. The apparatus may be shielded on one side to make its action directional. On trains &c. the external air draught may be used to operate the centrifugal pump. Specification 233/96, [Class 51], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use of a screen of sheets of fabric in place of the filling bodies g. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
