[Class 132 (ii)] A golf-practising device comprises a resilient member mounted on a supporting base so as to provide a substantially horizontally disposed upper surface and a disc adhesively applied to said upper surface to represent a golf ball. A heavy base 1 of wood, &c., has an upwardly projecting support 2 to which is secured one end of a strip 3 of wood or other resilient material. The underside of the free end of the strip is provided with a buffer pad 4 of sponge rubber. A loop 5 of leather, cord or the like is secured to the end of the base 1 and to the free end of the strip 3 for preventing the latter rising above a horizontal position. A disc 6 of paper or other suitable material having the same diameter as a golf ball is fixed on the upper surface of the strip 3. In order to bring the feet of the player to approximately the same level as the upper surface of the strip 3, two foot stands 7 are provided or alternatively the separate stands may be replaced by a single large stand. If desired the stands 7 may be connected together and/or to the base 1 by links so that their relative positions may be varied. The strip 3 may be replaced by a round or other shaped rod or a strip of spring steel, or a plurality of such members may be secured to the support 2 at suitable positions. According to further modifications a plate of any suitable shape and material supported on springs or rubber may be mounted on a supporting base, or one or more strips of canvas or webbing may be tightly stretched across and above a supporting base, or a thin bag filled with air or sponge rubber may be mounted on a supporting base.
