Abstract

An agent for removing ink or colour from printers' inking &c rollers consists of caustic soda, ammonia, or other alkaline solution with other assisting agents such as para-cresol, para-cresylic acid, para-oxytoluene, paramethyl phenol and phenol. The rollers are soaked in the solution to soften the ink and are afterwards washed with water.
