428,513. Corset stiffeners. WEEKS, W. R., 1, Rue Ambroise Thomas, Paris. Aug. 3, 1934, No. 22694. [Class 141] A corset stiffener comprises two or more steel bands 1 laterally spaced with a filling strip 2<1> of paper, textile or other material arranged along adjacent edges of the bands, the whole being coated with plastic material 3, such as nitro-cellulose, cellulose acetate, or celluloid solution. The outer edges of the stiffeners may be shielded by strips 2 also covered by the coat 3. The strips 2, 21 may be of cardboard or in the form of threads. The steels may be coated by extrusion as described in Specification 428,601.
