[Class 39 (i)] A lamp for television or other purposes has a cathode glow on a cathode of mesh or gridlike formation, and the second electrode has a permanently fixed light-reflecting surface. This surface may be situated either inside or outside the envelope, or may be extended over or form a part of the envelope which does not comprise the light aperture.
