Abstract

425,228. Holders for rolls of toilet paper. ILLSTON, F. B., 1, Downs Road, Beckenham, Kent. Sept. 11, 1933, No. 25074. [Class 18] A holder for a roll of toilet paper comprises a bracket A provided with a pocket F housing a spring G which presses on one end of the spindle N supporting the roll of paper and so forces the other end of the spindle through an aperture in a second bracket B and into a cap K pivoted on that bracket. Access to the spindle to disengage it from the brackets and insert another roll of paper is obtained only when the paper on the roll in use is exhausted. The cap K is pivoted in a rivet J and is held in position by its other end engaging under a turned-up lip M on the bracket. The brackets are integral with a back-plate C which is screwed to a wall, the screw holes being masked by the roll of paper mounted on the spindle. According to the Provisional Specification, the brackets may be independent of the back-plate.
