Abstract
424,905. Mixing - machines. SIMON, Ltd., H., and BRIAN, J. C., Bird Hall Lane, Cheadle Heath, near Stockport. Oct. 25, 1933, Nos. 29536 and 29537. [Class 86] A machine for mixing granular &c. materials comprises a casing in which are arranged two or more longitudinal, parallel conveyers each having blades arranged to throw the material in opposite directions but with a general flow to one end of the casing beneath which is a single conveyer leading the material to a discharge shoot or to a second shoot from which the material may be fed again to the casing. The shafts f, on which the oppositely inclined blades d, e, of slightly different area, are mounted, are fitted at their ends with discs i having inclined paddles i<1> for throwing back excess material. The discharge conveyer h is rotated by a variable-throw ratchet mechanism, and the material passes to sacks n, or down a shoot o from which it may be fed to the casing a by means not shown.
