424,589. Bidets. HORNELL, P. G., 29, Humlegardsgortan, Stockholm. Aug. 25, 1933, No. 23706. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1932. [Class 26] In a bidet device of the kind comprising a jacket open at the top and bottom and a body from which liquid is directed in the form of a jet or jets into the body, the jet or jets issue from one or more openings in the body and outside the jacket, and are directed into one or more passages in the jacket wall. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the jacket 19 is secured to a member 1 arranged upon a body 2 having an internal bore with a connection 23 to a supply. The bore is provided with a seating for a spring-pressed valve 13 on a spindle 12 secured to the member 1 ; further on extension 3 of a handle 4 depends into a space 3c. When pressure is applied to the jacket or the members 1, 4 are drawn together, the members 1, 2 are moved relatively against spring-action so that the valve is moved off its seating and liquid enters the chamber 11 and passes to the jacket by way of apertures 16 and passages 22. Openings 24 are provided to prevent the formation of a vacuum between the body and jacket. In order to modify the direction or conformation of, or to disintegrate the jet, a baffle or baffles may be provided in the passage or passages in the jacket-wall or upon the supply body, the cross section of the passage or passages may be varied or the passages 22 are curved upwardly as at 22a. In another form one or a number of apertures may discharge through a slit in the jacket-wall, whilst in a further form, Fig. 8, the opening in the supply body is disposed beneath the jacket into which the jet is directed by a baffle 28 or by the opening itself. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a form in which the aperture in the body is disposed above the jacket, and also a reference to Specification 380,225. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
