Convention date, March 13. [Class 100 (iii)] Moulds.-Mould-changing mechanism is so arranged that one or more complete rotations of the drive-wheel, after disconnection from its shaft, serve to turn the mould-wheel through the distance between two moulds. Change of mould is thereby facilitated, since the drivewheel is always re-engaged with its shaft in the same angular position. The drive-wheel a is, as heretofore, slidable on its shaft e, to which it is coupled by a pin h projecting into a hole g, and can be disengaged by drawing it forwards against the pressure of a spring i. A mutilated spur-wheel k, secured to the drive-wheel, is thereby brought into gear with the mouldwheel b. The toothed part of the wheel k is of such a length that one revolution of the drive-wheel will turn the mould-wheel through the distance between two moulds, if there are six moulds on the wheel. If the wheel carries three moulds, two revolutions of the drive-wheel are required. When the toothed part of the wheel k passes out of gear, the mould-wheel is held stationary by the engagement of the toothless part with concave pieces m.
