[Class 146 (iii)] [See also Group XXXVI] The writing-tips of gold pen-nibs are provided by electrodeposition with a nodule of chromium, the dimensions of which are controlled by the current density, the nature of the electrolyte, and the time of immersion. The nibs may be given a flash of pure gold before application of the tips.
