Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 23, 1933]. [Class 5 (ii)] An incubator comprises an egg-tray frame 2 disposed between air-displacing units 3 forming, in effect, an apertured piston arrangement. The units 3 slide on guide rails 5 and are driven through chains 6 connected thereto by links 9, the chains being driven by an electric motor 13. One unit may be slightly in advance of the other. The heating device 15 and, if desired, a moistening device, are accommodated in an external conduit 14 and ventilating openings 16 are provided. The displacing units may move horizontally instead of vertically.
