422,323. Spinning-pots or buckets for rayon. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. June 1, 1934, No. 16389. Convention date, June 7, 1933. [Class 120 (ii)] [See also Group II] A spinning-pot or bucket for rayon is provided with a seat 3 and a groove 4 for accommodating the cover which is provided with a beading 9 adapted to engage the groove 4, so that, under centrifugal force, it presses against the upper inclined surface and the cover is thereby forced downwards against the seat 3. The cover is slotted vertically to impart flexibility, although such slots may not be necessary. When provided, the slots serve also for the escape of any leaking acid. The top flange 8 of the cover is spaced from the top of the pot. Specification 415,301 is referred to.
