[Class 120 (i)] Waste is removed from the main cylinder 4 of a carding - engine by two felt or cloth covered wooden strips a carried by aluminium plates 1 which are mounted on an axle 7 adapted to be rotated in ball bearings by connections from the taker-in 5. Impurities are discharged through a grid 2 provided on the lower part of a cover 6 enclosing the device.
