Abstract

To prevent continued glowing of a cigarette, a portion of the cigarette wrapper near to the mouthpiece is impregnated only superficially with a substance to which a coating of an amorphous and non-inflammable substance may be made to adhere. The coating may be bronze powder or other metal dust, and the impregnated superficial layer with the adhering coating may be on the outside or inside, or both.
