Abstract

421,191. Hammock stands. PICKFORD, C. H., 67, Belgrave Road, Oldham. June 17, 1933, No. 17308. [Class 52 (ii)] A hammock stand or support of the kind formed of detachable sections and comprising spaced longitudinal base members 1 and converging end members 2, 3 extending upwardly from and supported solely by the base members, has a cross member 7 connected between the base members to resist outward displacement. The stand is formed of metal tubing sections joined by spigot and socket couplings. The cross member 7 is rigidly connected to two centre sections 6 with spigots adapted to enter the ends of sections 4, 5 which are upturned at 9, 10 to engage the inclined sections 11, 12. End sections 13, 14 with studs 19 for the hammock are fitted to the sections 11, 12 and have cross bars 17. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 21562/14, [Class 52 (ii)].
