Abstract

419,713. Wash-basins. DESSAR, J., 5, Museum Street, New Oxford Street, London. April 24, 1934, No. 12379. [Class 26.] A cabinet for the use of motorists, travellers, &c. comprises a hot- or cold-water reservoir 5, which is air-tight, a wash-basin 9 and a pump or other device 11 for compressing air within the reservoir so that water may be forced therefrom in a continuous stream by air pressure. The contacting walls of the lid 2 and body 1 of the cabinet are provided with rubber and are so shaped as to form an air-tight joint, whilst heat-conserving material is placed between the walls of the reservoir and the cabinet. The basin rests in a cavity in the reservoir in which the compressor 11 may be situated and a capped filler aperture 10 is also provided. A box 6 formed by a partition 7 holds soap, &c. whilst a mirror 14 and brush-holding devices 15--17 are secured to the lid. A wallet holding towels and preferably formed of heat-conserving material may be placed above the basin, to the contour of which it conforms on the under surface.
