Abstract

419,080. Window sills. GRANT, J. A. W., 3, Thistle Court, Edinburgh, and BLAKEY, L. C., 76, High Street, Falkirk. May 15, 1933, No. 14025. [Class 20 (iii).] A window sill of the kind comprising a cast metal or other sheet having an inner horizontal part 9 beneath the window, a sloping outer part 11, a drip flange 13, and stools or rests for the jambs formed on or attached to the sheet, is characterized in that the flat part is ribbed to bond with the cement &c. 15 which secures the window frame. A flange 20 is provided on the inner edge and sides to exclude moisture. A layer of mastic 18 seals the junction between the frame and sill on the outside. The thickness of the sheet may be one half-inch or less.
