416,956. Seals. STOFFEL, H., and STOFFEL, F. L., Horn, Thurgau, Switzerland. Oct. 11, 1933, No. 28012. [Class 146 (ii).] In a sheet-metal seal comprising two portions connected together by a strip v, the latter is reinforced by means of outwardly directed ribs or veins s, whereby the strip is prevented from tearing when the one portion is folded over on to the other. The two portions of the seal are set at right angles to each other before use. The seal is used for enclosing the ends of a string or wire which are placed in slots z, w across the part x, whereupon the part t is doubled over into the part q, and the edges of the latter are then pressed inwards over the part t. The horizontal portion of the seal has its resting points situated in a common plane to enable the seal to rest firmly on that portion before sealing.
