[Class 29.] In a milk and cream cooler comprising a cooling water chamber having corrugated side walls 10 over which the milk trickles and end walls 14 and 15, the depth of the corrugation troughs is reduced towards their ends by bending or deforming the metal of the side walls. For instance, the side walls of the trough may be flattened together completely at the end 17, the flattening decreasing inwardly along the trough. The crevice between the flattened sides may be filled with solder. The side walls may rest in shallow recesses in the end walls, these recesses being then filled with solder to give smooth surface.
