[Class 120 (ii).] In wet-doubling machines in which the yarns run vertically through a water trough, the guides 3<b> through which the yarns 1 pass are disposed in an inclined wall 3<a> of the trough and other yarn guides 4 are arranged vertically below in a discharge gutter 5 so that the water issuing from the guide 3b bridges the guide 4, leakage of stray drops from the stream being prevented by a ledge 4<a>.
