Abstract

414,813. Rotary compressors. BERK, F. W., 517, Warwick Road, Solihull, Warwickshire. March 20, 1933, No. 8315. [Class 110 (ii).] The rotors or casings of blowers of the Roots' type are constructed of steel plates rolled or pressed to the desired shape, and welded together. Stiffening members may be incorporated in the structure. Lengthy rotors may be built up of sections. Figs. 1, 3 show two types of structures. The shafts may be welded to the rotors. Extensions for carrying shaft bearings may also be welded to the casing.
