Abstract

414,083. Electric signalling systems. FARROW, B. J., 5, Imperial Road, Redland, Bristol. Jan. 27, 1933, No. 2647. [Class 40 (i).] In a system for indicating to callers whether a person is " in " or " out," a switch is operable by the person to connect either a bell or a lamp in circuit with the call push. The lamp is situated in the vicinity of the call push to indicate to the caller that the person is "out." Fig. 1 shows the switch which is pressed by the person to be called and comprises a grooved base a having a slide d adapted, according to its position, to display one or other of the words "in," " out and control the position of a spring-contact h which co-operates with contacts k, j, connected respectively in the bell and lamp circuits. The caller's equipment comprises a plurality of pushes n, Fig. 6, corresponding in number to the number of persons to be called, disposed on the cover m of a base plate r which carries a lamp w adapted to illuminate an " out " notice provided in the cover. The pushes operate with spring contacts adapted to co-operate with a common bus-bar.
