Abstract
413,066. Collapsable cardboard &c. boxes. WILLIAMS, JOWETT, & CO., Ltd., Manningham Lane, Bradford, and BURROWS, E. A., 17, Staveley Road, Nab Wood, Shipley, both in Yorkshire. March 9, 1933, No. 7133. [Class 18.] A collapsable box of cardboard, leatherboard, corrugated cardboard interposed between plain boards and the like for poultry &c., has a tubular body constructed preferably of two pieces C, C<1>, Fig. 2, forming reinforced angles at C<2>, C3, and with a bottom B, Fig. 3, hinged to a side C' the opposite side C<5> having a batten, ledge or projection A providing a space A<1> into which a tongue B<1> on the base can enter. A side C<5> has a flap F, the end of which engages the upper side of the base to hold it against upward pressure. The underside of the base may be strengthened by battens, and the upper edges of two opposite sides may carry hinged battens foldable to the inside of the box to keep it extended. Ventilating apertures V may be formed.
