Abstract

410,231. Coats. JONES, F. B., 116<1>, Euterpestraat, Amsterdam. Dec. 6, 1932, No. 34505. [Class 141.] The lapels and collar ends of coats are provided with an insertion E of hair cloth or the like, having the hair threads running, as shown on the drawing, in a direction parallel with a line from the point of the lapel to approximately the middle of the edge a<1> by which it is joined to the usual stiffening canvas. The hair cloth is stitched to the usual stiffening canvas, and when the cloth fronts are stitched to the canvas the cloth under the lapel is held taut, to prevent curl. For winter overcoats and the like, the piece of hair cloth may be inserted between the stiffening canvas A and the cloth front C, instead of the former being cut away for the insertion thereof.
