410,045. Bobbins &c. FAIRWEATHER, W. C., 65, Chancery Lane, London.-(Delong, C. F. ; 15, Orchard Street, Mount Vernon, New York, U.S.A.) Dec. 13, 1933, No. 35047. [Class 120 (iii).] A wound bobbin comprises a core 1 having cylindrical mass of thread 2 wound thereon, and a disc 8 mounted on one or both ends, having openings 10 therein, through which the thread mass projects, to offer frictional resistance to rotation. A sheet of thin flexible material such as that known under the Registered Trade Mark " Cellophane " may be interposed between the thread package and the end disc. The end discs preferably comprise a boss 6, which enters a cardboard tube 1, and a thin rim 5 connected to the boss by narrow spokes 9.
