Abstract
409,838. Toys; educational appliances. MURDISON, A. W., Wingham, Huron, Ontario, Canada. Jan. 2, 1933, No. 62. [Classes 132 (iii) and 146 (ii).] A toy or educational appliance for building up toy figures, wearing apparel for toy figures or words comprises a foundation portion, a dry adherent pile-like surface provided on said foundation portion and dry adherent pile-like portions adapted to be supported by said surface. The foundation portion 7 of the toy is covered with suede, velour, &c., at 8, or may be covered with an adhesive and wool dust, flock, &c. may be blown thereon to provide a clinging surface for the flock of the felt apparel 9. A variety of different coloured apparel can be provided. For educational purposes the geometrical felt forms 9<a> and the alphabetical felt forms 9<b> shown in Fig. 5 can be applied to the base 8, Fig. 6, of stiff cardboard covered with suede, velour, &c., or coated with adhesive for receiving wool dust or other flock blown thereon. Portions of the geometrical forms 9<a> may be overlapped with interengaging of the flock of the felt providing adhesion. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5859/95, [Class 3], 21561/06, [Class 146], 222,280, [Class 3 (ii)], and 353,110, [Group XVIII].
