Abstract

409,528. Liquid-conducting conduits. BURGESS, A. F., 10, New Court, Lincoln's Inn, London.-(Aerol Engine Corporation ; 26, Washington Square, Newport, Rhode Island, U.S.A.) June 28, 1933, No. 18406. [Class 99 (ii).] A conduit, for supplying fuel to internalcombustion engines and constructed to prevent the formation of airlocks therein, comprises an outer tubular member and an inner filling member which are so formed as to include between them one or more restricted spiral passageways of uniform cross-sectional area extending throughout the length of the conduit. In one form, the conduit comprises a simple tube 1 and a twisted hexagonal bar 3, Fig. 2, or a cylindrical rod with a spiral groove, fitting snugly therein. Fig. 5 shows a modification which consists of a twisted squaresection tube 7 and a cylindrical rod 8.
