Abstract

In apparatus for moulding artificial resin and resin-containing mixtures, in which the extruded material is subjected to back pressure by the formation of a conical mouthpiece or by the use of clamps engaging it so as to retard the delivery, a temperature is maintained in the charging-zone of the extrusion-apparatus below that at which hardening takes place, while the temperature in the remainder of the mould may either be substantially uniform or non-uniform, providing the hardening temperature is attained at some point between the inlet and the outlet of the mould.
