407,480. Cutting wool &c. for rugs. HOWES, H. A., Gorse Hill, Helsby, Cheshire. Dec. 12, 1932, No. 35120. [Class 142 (iv).] A tool for cutting wool &c. wound around a grooved bar into lengths for use in making rugs comprises a flat handle or holder, which is slidable in the groove in the bar and has a vertical slit a<1> at its front end to receive a safety blade or other cutter and a rearwardly-extending horizontal recess &c. a. The cutting edge of the blade extends into the recess a and the blade is clamped in the slit a<1> by a screw D and clamping nut d. According to the Provisional Specification, a recess of quarter circle shape is formed in the front bottom corner of the handle.
