Abstract
404,785. Rubbing-boards. BRADLEY & CO., Ltd., and DOUBLEDAY, N., Albion Works, Bilston, Staffordshire. Nov. 3, 1932, No. 30966. [Class 138 (ii).] The cover a of a washing-boiler or machine b is formed with a central corrugated, ribbed or equivalent portion a<1> and with means co-acting with the rim of the boiler or whereby it may be supported in an inclined position across the mouth of the boiler or to function as a rubbing- board. As shown the handles a<2>, which are not diametrically opposite one another, are formed with portions a<3> of the limbs bent whereby the rim of the boiler &c. may be gripped. In a modification the rim a' may be slotted, or projections may be formed on the under side of the cover or on the boiler or adjacent its mouth, or the mouth may be slotted for engagement by the cover.
