Abstract
404,784. Electric radiators. THOMAS, B., and THOMAS, E., 34, Worsley Street, Hulme, Manchester. Oct. 31, 1932, No. 30476. [Class 39 (iii).] An electric heater or radiator consists of a heating element d enclosed in a sheath formed by a trough a and cover b held together by caps c at the ends so that the cover can be removed to expose the whole of the heating element without dismantling the remainder of the heater. The edges of the trough are turned in towards each other to facilitate putting on the cover. Two or more heating elements may be arranged in one sheath. The sheath may be provided with feet for attachment to the wall or the floor, or the sheaths may be carried in a metal tray r or on a bracket q. Perforations, which may be covered with wire gauze, may be provided in the sheath. The heating element support may be a metal strip having turned up tabs carrying insulators for the heating element in the manner of the heating element described in Specification 320,352, [Class 37, Electricity, Measuring &c.]. Specification 139,564, [Class 39 (iii), Heating by electricity], also is referred to.
