Abstract
403,608. Tobacco and like smoke containers. DALINDA, J. Z., 63 Street, New York, U.S.A. March 19, 1932, No. 8261. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts March 21, 1932]. [Classes 81 (i), 81 (ii), and 130.] The smoke from tobacco and other vegetable substances is stored in a cartridge a insertable in pipe or holder. Deleterious substances such as nicotine, pyridine, ammonia and sulphuretted hydrogen are removed and others with disinfectant or curative properties such as eucalyptus or licorice added before the smoke is supplied by pump or syringe to the cartridge. Absorptive material may be enclosed. The cartridge may be mounted in a cap g on turning which smoke passes by holes d and passages e to a collecting chamber f. Air passages k and a valve m responsive to suction at the mouthpiece are situated in the end closure of the chamber f. A helical tube mav be connected to the cartridge nozzle, and the outflow from the latter may be controlled by a valve connected to a lever the end of which is adjacent to the mouthpiece c.
