Abstract

403,577. Washing-boilers. DEAN, W., Victoria Works, Accrington Road, Burnley. June 19, 1933, No. 17470. [Class 64 (i).] In a washing-copper comprising an outer casing 1 provided with a top plate 2 from which the boiling-pan is suspended, a movable cover 8 forming a table top is mounted above the lid 14. The top plate is surrounded by a flange 5, and at the rear is provided with brackets 6 which are slotted to receive a hinge-rod 11 attached to the cover. The forward end of the cover is supported by a detachable fender 12, and is formed with a depending flange 9 at the front and side edges. The brackets may support a mangle to be located below the cover, as described in Specification 403,578.
