Abstract

403,490. Oil heating-stoves. PARKINSON & COWAN (GAS METERS), Ltd., and MEADS, H. J., Bell Barn Road, Birmingham. Sept. 23, 1932, Nos. 26468 and 30790. [Class 126.] An oil-vapour cooking-stove of the kind comprising an oil container on which is mounted the burner, vaporizer, and supporting rods d for carrying a removable intensilsupporting grid or ring, is provided with a removable reflector a adapted to be pivotably mounted on one of the supporting rods, so that the stove may serve for heating purposes. In the construction shown, a bracket b extending through a hole in the reflector has pivotally mounted on it a clip c adapted to engage the horizontal top portion of one of the rods d, a tightening screw f securing the reflector in its adjusted position. A projection g on the clip limits the angular movement of the reflector by engaging the bracket b. Preferably a ring j formed of coiled nickel-chrome wire is placed over the burner to form a radiant.
