403,333. Receptacles for cooling milk. AKTIEBOLAGET M. LUNDGRENS GJUTERI, Halmstad, and TRESCHOW, A. C. O., Sannarp, Heberg, both in Sweden. Aug. 1, 1933, No. 21571. [Class 29.] A milk can is cooled by water supplied through a nozzle 21 to a frustoconical water-wheel 13 formed, e.g. of a corrugated strip of metal and secured to a spider 14 rotatably supported by a tripod 15 placed upon the mouth of the can. The spider is provided with a spindle 20 to which is screwed a shaft 17 carrying a stirrer 18. The water discharged from the wheel flows over the outside of the milk can. A stirrer 23 may also be carried by the spider to agitate the water in a tank in which the can may be stood. In a modification, the spider 28, Fig. 3, is supported by the cover 25 of the milk can and the water is distributed over the can by a perforate gutter 31 formed on the wheel.
