Abstract
403,247. Looms with shuttle stopmotions. CAMPS, J. P., 80, Colomer Street, Sabadell, Spain. Feb. 28, 1933, No. 6020. [Classes 142 (i), 142 (ii), and 142 (iii).] Checking shuttles ; shuttle relief-motions.- When the shuttle enters the box, it engages a swell pivoted on a lever carrying a part 14 adapted to engage a spring-controlled lever 29 that is independent of the mechanism for stopping the loom or for slackening the warp. A lever 21 on the connecting-rod engages a roller 28 on the lever 29 to remove the pressure on the swell when picking is to occur. Shuttle stop-motions ; warps, slackening.-A spring-controlled dagger 17 pivoted on the lay is operatively connected to a dagger on the opposite side of the loom by a shaft carrying cranks having rollers 23 engaging in slotted extensions on the daggers. The daggers are normally raised clear of a notched lever 34 operating a sliding frog 36, and of a notched lever operating warp-slackening means by a roller on one of the daggers moving on a cam surface. Normally, when the end of the cam surface is reached, the daggers tend to turn under influence of the spring 18 to move stops against the part 14 and apply additional pressure to the swell. When the lay moves back, the lever 21 engages stops 22 on the daggers to move them back to normal position and free from contact with the swell levers.
