Abstract
403,192. Drinking - appliances for animals. WILKINSON (BURNLEY), Ltd., G., and WILKINSON, G., Progress Works, Burnley. Sept. 13, 1932, No. 25435. [Class 5 (ii).] In a bucket fountain for poultry and the like, viz., a drinking-appliance of the kind in which a bucket is partly closed in at the top by a lid C which occupies a position at some distance within the mouth of the bucket, the trough being formed by a lip A which extends across a portion of the mouth of the bucket above the lid and overlaps an opening that is left between the lid and wall of the bucket for the water to pass into the trough, the bucket being provided at the bottom with a stand for supporting it on its side in a substantially horizontal position for drinking purposes and at the top with a handle for carrying purposes, the lid and lip are so arranged and constructed that the space between them and the space between the bottom of the lid and wall of the bucket are such that the hand and arm can be passed through into the interior of the bucket for cleaning purposes. The lip A is convex or bowed outwardly and the lid C may be concave or bowed inwardly.
