Abstract

401,831. Bedsteads. WEBSTER, L., 42, Pretoria Road, Leytonstone, London. Aug. 11, 1932, No. 22479. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iv).] A bedstead constructed with a detachably connected framework has vertically adjustable corner brackets which receive transverse bars 9 between which a mattress link work is suspended. The brackets have screwed stems 8 housed in columnar legs at both ends, or in legs at one end and wall brackets at the other. The mattress may have a cross bar 11 secured intermediate its ends so that the surface can be deflected giving an angular adjustment. Auxiliary supporting springs 14 may be provided and are fitted on a cross bar 16 which can rest across the side bars 12 which latter have forked ends for easy disengagement from the end columns.
