Abstract

A process for the production of gases by decomposition of liquids is carried out in a magnetic field in order to increase the yield. It is stated that acidulated water is decomposed with evolution of hydrogen by immersion of permanent magnets or electromagnets even when the iron has previously been rendered passive.
