Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 6, 1931.] [Classes 98 (i) and 98 (ii).] Apparatus for the photographic production of intermediate printing models from printing patterns is characterized by the provision of movable reflectors between the printing pattern and the sensitive material to deflect the printing beam on to screens to enable the projected image to be inspected. As shown, the printing pattern, in the form of a film 3, may be intermittently traversed through a gate 5 in front of a lamp 4 from a spool 6 to a spool 7. The light beam 9 is reflected by a pivoted reflector 10 through an objective 1 to a second reflector 11 by which it is reflected on to the sensitive plate 8. By rotation of the reflectors 10, 11 the image may be inspected on screens 12, 13 which may be covered by red glass plates on their insides. The plate 8 is in a carrier which is only opened at the moment of exposure, and which is rotatable on a vertical pivot 19 mounted in a slide 20 transversely movable in a carriage 21 movable along a track 22. A process screen may be placed in the path of the light. A printing pattern carrier with several openings is movable in the projection opening, and printing patterns of matter frequently repeated may be placed in these openings.
