Abstract
396,247. Horseshoes. ALBISSON, L., 10, Place de l'Horloge, Carpentras, France. Oct. 25, 1932, No. 29830. [Class 67.] The shoe comprises a metal frame of channel section which diminishes in height towards the heels and which receives a tread of rubber or like material, the whole being secured to the hoof by nails passing through holes in the frame and the tread. The tread 4 may be permanently secured to the frame 1 by protrusion through holes 3, Figs. 1 and 7, or by dovetailing of the channels, as in Fig. 4. The nail-holes may be formed with bosses 8, Fig. 4. The frame is thickened at the front edge, and may be cut away at the inner edge 12. When the tread is detachable, the ends 14, Fig. 10, of the channel are dovetailed to hold the tread, which may be further secured at the toe by an inward projection 17, Fig. 11, of the frame, or by protrusion of the tread through a hole 20, Fig. 13, in the frame.
