Abstract

395,223. Automatic regulation. MASCARINI, G., 21, Via S. Antonio, Milan, Italy. Nov. 2, 1932, No. 30897. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1931. [Class 38 (iv).] The load on an electric boiler is adjusted by hydraulic apparatus comprising a piston 7 arranged in a cylinder 8 and connected'to electrodes or insulating screens 2, by controlling the discharge from opposite ends of the cylinder by means of a valve 19. The inlets are fitted with needle valves 11, and the valve 19 is controlled by a thermostat 14. In a modification each outlet is fitted with a valve operable by means of a solenoid. The solenoids are arranged in circuits subject to current control. With' current control a current coil or transformer is inserted in the line and regulating resistance is arranged in parallel therewith. The current control may be replaced by a wattage control.
