[Class 132 (ii).] In a game board provided with electric contacts which are closed by playing-figures or counters so as to close an electric circuit, an electric conductor having two or more interruptions is exposed in a number of positions on the board in such a manner that the circuit is closed when two or more figures or counters, corresponding to the number of interruptions, bridge the interruptions at a corresponding number of selected positions amongst these exposed positions. The board may consist of superposed sheets of pasteboard, the upper sheet of which is perforated so as to expose in each aperture, as shown in Fig. 1, a pair of electrical contacts formed by the limbs of a number of insulated metal strips N, P, X<1>, X<2>, X<3> arranged as shown in Fig. 4. The contacts are numbered consecutively and the strips N, P are connected to a dry battery and electric buzzer, bell, lamp, or optical signal attached to the underside of the board. In playing a game, metal playing pieces are moved from one numbered aperture to another according to the numbers thrown by dice, and bridge the contacts in the apertures. The arrangement of the contacts is such that closure of one pair of contacts by a playing piece is insufficient to complete a circuit, but closure of two pairs of contacts may (dependent on a predetermined combination being effected) complete the circuit and sound the buzzer, thus indicating for example that the playing piece must retire. In modified arrangements it is necessary to close three or more contacts in order to sound the buzzer. The box is provided with a compartment for storing the playing pieces.
