Abstract

389,009. Roll-holders. MOLLER, C. C., 28, Sommerfrydveien, Drammen, Norway. Aug. 16, 1932, No. 22985. [Class 18.] A holder for a roll of imperforate toilet paper comprises side members 4 provided with two or more supports 3 for the journals of the roll and a knife 9, the edge of which rests against the periphery of the roll. The supports 3 are constituted by recesses in the members 4, and these recesses are joined by guide channels 7. The sides 4 are stayed by members 5, the top one of which forms a pivot for the knife ; or the knife may be constituted by an abutment movable radially relatively to the roll and pressed against the periphery thereof by its own weight &c. The knife is sufficiently heavy or may be weighted to act as a brake on the roll. A finger opening is provided in the knife 9 to allow the roll to be turned. To prevent axial creep of the turns of the roll, one or more diametrical strips of adhesive ribbon are applied to one or both ends thereof. The holder may stand on the floor or be arranged to hang from or be secured to a wall.
