387,473. Pile-driving. LOSENHAUSENWERK DœSSELDORFER MASCHINENBAU AKT.-GES., 323c, Grafenberger Allee, D³sseldorf, Germany. Dec. 16, 1931, No. 34886. Convention date, Dec. 16, 1930. [Class 68 (ii).] Piles are driven by a continuous static load supplemented by a periodically variable force produced by one or more pairs of eccentricallymounted rotating masses arranged so that their centrifugal forces act additively to the static load and balance each other in the direction at rightangles thereto. The Figure shows a pile 1 being driven by a mass 2, 3 affording a static pressure, and by discs 4, 5, rotating in opposite directions, masses 6, 7 which produce the variable forces referred to.
