Abstract

Tubular shaped chocolate is made by extruding the chocolate in a slightly heated condition through lateral, downwardly inclined nozzles so that the tubes are delivered in a substantially horizontal direction. The extrusion machine is provided with a heating jacket and the chocolate tubes are carried by a conveyer to a cutting device which severs the tubes into lengths.
